Be Brazilian

Piazza Navona, Rome
Performance curated by Gaia Morrione with Arto Lindsay and Ernesto Neto for the International Rome Film Festival

30,000 people dance and sing the most intimate and sensual atmospheres of Brazilian Carnival in a sinuous and hypnotic snake-like formation set in one of the most beautiful squares in the world.

The key to its success was the choice of artists, generating collaboration between Arto Lindsay’s direction and Ernesto Neto’s set design, the live performance by Spok Frevo Orquestra, Ile Ayè and guest star Vanessa da Mata who, to everyone’s surprise, sang from the balcony of the Brazilian embassy.

Produced in collaboration with the Government of Brazil.
